Rubber exports decrease slightly

(ĐN)- Over the past nine months, Dong Nai-based enterprises shipped abroad about 14,700 tonnes of rubber, decreasing over 1,000 tonnes compared to same period last year.

(ĐN)- Over the past nine months, Dong Nai-based enterprises shipped abroad about 14,700 tonnes of rubber, decreasing over 1,000 tonnes compared to same period last year.

The export price of rubber in this period also decreased, from US$2,900 in 2012 to US$2,400 per ton now.

According to experts, Vietnam’s rubber export will continue to face several difficulties and challenges in the coming time.

Viet Nam exported 710,000 tonnes of rubber latex worth US$1.68 billion in Jan-Sep period, down 1.2% in volume and 17.8% in value against the same period last year, said Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

China and Malaysia remained the two biggest importers of Vietnamese rubber during the reviewed period.
