The Ho Chi Minh City Book Distribution Joint Stock Company (FAHASA) has been named to Singapore-based Retail Asia magazine’s 2013 list of the top 500 retailers in the Asia-Pacific region.
The rankings are based on independent surveys conducted by market research firm Euromonitor International Inc. The surveys measure the performance of enterprises in 14 regional economies, including Australia, China, India, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, China’s Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
FAHASA is also among the top 10 retailers in Vietnam this year.
In the first nine months of 2013, the company brought in VND1.2 trillion (US$57.1 million) in revenue, and is projected to make VND1.6 trillion (US$76.2 million) this year, a 5% increase from 2012.
