The scanner system, the most modern one in the country, made in France by Smiths Detection company in 2012.
The scanner uses a range of accelerators 6MeV and is equipped with two generators thus beaming in two directions. It can operate at temperature from -200°C to 400°C with scanning capacity of 30 containers per hour at a high speed of 0,4m/s and tunnel dimension of 3.5m height.
The system meets the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) and TCVN 6866-2001 safety standards.
The scanner will help businesses reduce time and effort spent on goods clearance at concentrated customs inspection point at Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD, contributing to reforming customs procedures and enhancing the effectiveness of customs regulations.
