(ĐN) –Nestlé Viet Nam on Tuesday morning inaugurated its fifth factory at Amata industrial park, Bien Hoa city.

The factory, Nestlé Tri An, has a total investment of US$238 million and is expected to provide jobs for more than 200 local people. The new factory is equipped with advanced coffee processing technology, aiming to reduce the use of power and water resources. It will produce Nescafe both for local consumption and for export.

Nestlé is now implementing a joint project with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to improve coffee productivity through better farming practices as well as to distribute high-yield, disease-resistant plantlets, buy coffee directly from farmers, etc.

Speaking at the inaugurating ceremony, Vice Chairwoman Phan Thi My Thanh of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee highly appreciated the Nestlé Group’s effective contributions to the province’s economic development. She also affirmed that Dong Nai would create favorable conditions for the Nestlé to promote production and business.
