Rubber export continues to decline

(ĐN)- In the first four months, Dong Nai’s rubber export reached more than 6,000 tons with a turnover of over US$17 million, a decrease both in volume and value.

(ĐN)- In the first four months, Dong Nai’s rubber export reached more than 6,000 tons with a turnover of over US$17 million, a decrease both in volume and value.

The export price of rubber in this period fell by 6.2% year-on-year from US$3,047 in 2012 to US$2,857 per ton now.

China and Malaysia are leading rubber importers. According to experts, Vietnam’s rubber export will continue to face several difficulties and challenges in the coming time.

Viet Nam exported 234,000 tons of rubber latex worth US$610 million in Jan-April period, down 12.9% in volume and 24.28% in value against the same period last year, said Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
