(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade announced that the province’s industrial production index (IIP) in April rose by 9.2% month-on-month.
In the first four months, the index is estimated to increase 7% year-on-year. 11 out of 16 industrial sectors saw increases, led by motor vehicles, 82.9%. Besides, the leather industry sees growth of 2.1% in IIP, while ready-made garment reports nearly 9% and the textile industry registers 5.6%.
However, the outputs of many spearhead industries like mining, food processing-manufacturing and paper, etc dropped sharply over the past four months.
Specifically, food processing-manufacturing decreased over 4%, mineral industry fell more than 22%, and paper production dipped 23%.
