(ĐN) – On May 17, Australian delegation led by Mr Willem Rudolf Westra van Holthe, Minister for Primary Industry and Fisheries, paid a working visit to Dong Nai on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Australia and Vietnam. Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee warmly welcomed the delegation.

Minister Willem Rudolf Westra Van Holthe said that the Australia’s Northern Territory has rich potential in mining, tourism and agriculture, especially in cattle breeding industry. The Northern Territory always attaches great importance to cooperation with Vietnam in general and Dong Nai in particularly. He also expressed the wish to boost cooperation with Dong Nai and pledged to support local cow breeding industry.
At the reception, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai introduced the delegation with the province’s strengths and desired to further promote economic cooperation between the two countries, especially in high-tech industries. So far, Australian investors poured around US$80 million into 8 projects in Dong Nai.
