(ĐN)- Dong Nai shipped abroad nearly 3,100 tonnes of pepper in the first four months of this year, earning around US$25 million, reported Dong Nai Statistics Office.
The figure represents a year-on-year increase of 3.3 percent in volume. Dong Nai’s pepper is now exported mainly to German, England, the US and UK. The pepper price currently stays at VND116,000-120,000 per kilogram.
The country exported around 56,000 tonnes worth US$370 million over the first four months, according to Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The exports saw a year-on-year increase of 14 percent in volume and 17 percent in value.
