(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s consumer price index (CPI) in April has fallen for a second straight month, at 0.13% against March.
The province’s CPI decreased from last month as prices of three out of eleven groups in the basket of commodities used for CPI measurement fell. For instance, the group of goods and services has declined 0.8%, housing, water and electricity and gas and construction materials 0.18%, post and telecom 0.2%.
Other commodity groups posting price increases include transport with an increase of 1.07%, home appliances up 0.72%, food and catering services u 0.6% and beverage and tobacco 0.46%.
Overall, the four-month index is up 1.3% against the end of 2012. This month’s index picks up 5.7% over the same period last year.
