(ĐN)- Dong Nai reported an estimated trade deficit of US$95.4 million in April, bringing the province's total deficit during the first four months of the year to over US$170 million, according to Department of Industry and Trade.
In April alone, Dong Nai’s export turnover achieved more than US$920 million and import volume, US$1,015 million USD.
In the first four months, export value was supposed to reach approximately US$3.4 billion, up 4.8 percent against the same period last year. Meanwhile, import turnover was US$3.57 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.9 percent.
Despite the stronger export growth than that of import in the first quarter, the province’s Jan-April trade deficit still accounts for nearly 5% of total export revenue. Accordingly, the FDI sector’s trade gap remained at 8% of total export revenue.
