(ĐN)- Tran Gia, a traditional Vietnamese square cake producer in Bien Hoa city’s Tan Tien ward, will ship 45 tonnes of Banh Chung (square glutinous rice cake) and Banh Tet (cylindric glutinous rice cake) to Singapore, France, Australia, Canada and Taiwan.
It aims to help overseas Vietnamese enjoy the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.
Over this Tet festival, Tran Gia will also supply about 170 tonnes of Banh Chung and Banh Tet, up 30 percent over the same period last year, to serve the domestic market, distributed in big supermarket chains such as Metro, Big C, Co.opmart, Big C, Vinatex and LotteMart.
The price of the Tet cakes will increase 5-6 percent due to high input of raw materials
