Footwear still maintain high growth rate |
(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s industrial production index in November increased 5.53 percent over the previous month.
In the first 11 months, it went up by 7.06 percent compared to the same period last year, but this industrial growth rate was far lower than the previous years, according to the Department of Industry and Trade.
The slowed growth rate was mainly due to low consumer demand, high inventories of unsold goods, and a reduction or temporary halt in production by some enterprises.
During the 11-month period, the province’s essential industries such as food processing, textile, leather products, rubber, and chemical products still maintained high growth rates of 5-10 percent.
However, a number of industries saw declines in production value, including paper products, metal products, electricity and steam.
