Dong Nai remains in spotlight in FDI attraction

Dong Nai province is predicted to attract over US$ 1.2 billion worth of FDI this year, a remarkable figure when compared with the set target of US$ 950 million, according to the provincial Industrial Park Management Board.

 

 

 

 

Dong Nai province is predicted to attract over US$ 1.2 billion worth of FDI this year, a remarkable figure when compared with the set target of US$ 950 million, according to the provincial Industrial Park Management Board.

Most of FDI projects licensed by the province so far this year involve in engineering, electronic assembly and foodstuff.

Foreign-invested enterprises in Dong Nai have to date made up 62% of the province’s total industrial production value and 95% of its total export turnovers. They have employed over 500,000 people in and out the locality.

According to the Dong Nai Department of Planning and Investment, the province currently has 1,004 valid FDI projects with combined capital of over US$ 1 billion, ranking 4th after Binh Duong province, Ho Chi Minh  city and Hai Phong city.
