Speaking at the session, Chairman Thai praised the contributions made by Taekwang Vina over the past 18 years to the province's socio-economic development. He also highly appreciated the company’s expansion project and affirmed that the province would provide favourable conditions for the company as well as other FDI enterprises to increase investment in Dong Nai.
Teakwang Vina, a sport-shoe maker, is estimated to produce 1.5 million pairs of shoes in 2012. The figure is expected to reach 1.725 million in 2013.
Teakwang Vina has operated in Dong Nai for over 18 years with two factories in Bien Hoa 2 and Agtex Long Binh industrial parks, creating jobs for more than 28,000 laborers.
