(ĐN)- Coffee exporters in Dong Nai shipped 150,500 tons of coffee over the last 11 months of the year, an increase of more than 55,000 tons (57 percent) compared to 2011, according to the province’s Statistics Office.
In 2011-2012 crop, Vietnam exported 1.4 million tons of coffee worth nearly US$3.1 billion and became the world leading coffee exporter. The country’s coffee export is expected to reach 1.5 million tons this year.
Presently, the price of the coffee bean is VND40,000 -41,000 per kilogram, up VND2,000-3,000 against the previous crop.
