(ĐN)-The VND mobilization interest rate became “hot” in recent days. Some commercial banks continued to raise the interest rate to a high level or increase it through promotional types.
The 12-month term interest rate is 12.5% per annum at Asia Commercial Bank and 12.3% at Eximbank. Previously, the term had the interest rate of 11%.
The Eximbank and ACB have recently announced their increases in 13-month term with 12.8% and 13%, respectively. With the move, the 15-36 month term deposits now enjoy the interest rates of 12 percent per annum.
Other banks, though having not announced interest rate increases, have launched promotion programmes in order to mobilise more capital as their capital demands have become increasingly high.
