(ĐN)- According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dong Nai has more than 8,000 hectares under pepper cultivation, up nearly 500 hectares compared with 2011.
The increase was due to the high price of pepper in recent years.
Presently, the pepper price in Dong Nai reaches a record high of VND124,000-VND126,000 a kilogram.
Dong Nai is now ranked third in the country in the area under pepper cultivation. In the harvest year 2011-2012, local farmers sold over 13,3000 tons of pepper.
