Senior Lieutenant-General Le Huu Duc, Deputy Defense Minister, Lieutenant-General Nguyen Vinh Phu, Director of the General Department of Logistics and Lieutenant–General Nguyen Cong Tranh, Commissar of the Department, attended the ceremony.
The first phrase of the project, scheduled to be completed by 2015, will build depots and a port. In the project, there will be workplaces and accommodation for troops and other facilities on an area of 30 hectares.
Addressing the ceremony, General Duc stressed that this is a large-scale high-tech project. The project will meet demand for receiving and providing gas for military units in the south and central highlands.
He also asked the General Department and construction units to ensure progress of the project as well as safety and environment sanitation.
