(ĐN)- In the first half of the year, Dong Nai-based enterprises shipped abroad 91,000 tones of coffee with an estimated value of over $1.9 billion, increasing 13,000 tons compared to same period last year, according to the province’s Statistics Office.
Dong Nai now has more than 18,000 ha of coffee under cultivation; most of which are in harvest time, with an annual average yield of 1.8 tons per ha. With the price of VND42,000 - VND45,000 a kilogram, the coffee growers can earn profit of at least VND40 million per ha.
