During the three weeks of the festival, a floating fruit market with 70 boats was re-created, there was a contest for best fruits, farmers and artisans matched their talents in a contest for making things from fruits, and a "safe and delicious fruit" display was set up by 650 artisans from 16 provinces and cities which is up 170 percent over the same festival last year.
The fruit contest has attracted more than 850 varieties of 11 kinds of fruits.
On this occasion, HCMC’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded certificates of merit to three gardeners from Dong Nai for their high quality products, including Hieu Liem mango, Tan Trieu pomelo and Long Khanh rambutan.
