(ĐN)- Southern Fruit Festival 2012 will take place at Suoi Tien Park in HCMC’s District 9 from June 1-23, according to the organizer, the HCMC Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
This is an annual tourism event aiming to introduce domestic and foreign visitors to a wide range of fruits from the Southern regions of the country.
The main activities of the festival include a fruit floating market with boats carrying various kinds of fruits, fruit shaping artistic competition, safe and good fruit competition, and food made from fruits such as sweet soup.
The fruit festival forecasts to welcome over a million visitors and consume more than one thousand tons of fruits.
