At the visit, the delegation discussed with the Chairman on water transmission pipeline project, constructed by Malaysia-based Salcon Engineering Group and invested by Dong Nai Water Supply and Construction Co., Ltd.
According to the constructor, the progress of the project was 30 months behind schedule due to site-clearance problems at more than 10 km and total investment fund of the project has risen to about VND10 billion compared to the initial cost.
The investor said that they are urgently quickening site clearance in a bid to start work on the project in next month.
Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai pledged that the province will soon organize a meeting to solve difficulties faced by the investor; he expects the constructor and investor to reach agreements to bring benefits for both sides.
