(ĐN)- Dong Nai targets to increase the number of pigs by 50 percent by 2015, said Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

(ĐN)- Dong Nai targets to increase the number of pigs by 50 percent by 2015, said Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. Accordingly, local pig breeders will supply around 200,000 tonnes of meat per year to meet growing demands of the domestic market.

Dong Nai currently has 1.2 million pigs, the largest number in the country. The number is expected to rise to 1.8 million by 2015. The province is now making efforts to help local breeding farms to meet VietGap standards.
