The US$14 mil project covers 1.5 hectare in Amata industrial park and is expected to put into operation in March 2013.
House Foods Vietnam’s products will be sold for domestic consumption and exported to other countries.
House Foods Corporation was established in 1913. Its products include curry, sauce, spices, food packaging, pre-cooked food, drinks, snacks and other products. The corp has offices, manufacturing plant and research center and development (R & D) in Japan, China, Taiwan, UK and USA.
The plant is a part of the HFC’s expansion strategy in Southeast Asia and will be equipped with the most advanced production lines, said Hiroshi Urakami president of HFC.
Amata IP is now home to 127 FDI projects totaling approximately $2 billion, including 55 Japanese projects with a combined capital of nearly US$700 million.
