SCG’s cement factory begins production

(ĐN)- SCG Cement, one of five core affiliates of Thailand’s SCG, officially started operation of a cement plant of Buu Long Industry & Investment J.S Co. (Buu Long I&I)  in Dong Nai province’s Vinh Cuu district.

The plant has an annual capacity of 120,000 tonnes of grey cement and 80,000 tonnes of white cement. Its products will be sold on the local market.

SCG Cement spent US$5.5 million for buying a 99 percent stake in the plant from the Buu Long I&I and upgrading it in line with its environment – friendly policy.

SCG with more than 200 companies under its umbrella and 35,000 employees comprises five core businesses: SCG Chemicals, SCG Paper, SCG Cement, SCG Building Materials and SCG Distribution.
