(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has recently organized a meeting to review its activities in 2011 and discussed plans for 2012. Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh of the provincial People’s Committee attended the meeting.
In 2011, although facing many difficulties such as unfavorable weather conditions and high agricultural raw materials price, Dong Nai province’s agriculture - forestry - fishery sector still reported a year on year increase of 4.41 percent.
Accordingly, the planting sector reached more than VND4,600 billion, breeding sector earned nearly 2,500 billion and agricultural service was VND288 billion.
In 2012, the agricultural sector will focus on building new rural areas, development of selected plants and animals.
