(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade estimated that this year’s trade deficit is more than US$1.273 billion, accounting for over 10% of total export revenue.
In a fresh report, the department puts 2011 export revenue at US$9.833 billion and import expenditure at US$11.111 billion, growing by 30.3% and 21% year-on-year, respectively.
Particularly, imports from foreign-invested enterprises reached over US$10.8, increased 21.2%, the local enterprises were US$187 million, up 20.8%, and the central enterprises estimated at US$86 million, up 18.5%.
The province’s major import products included raw materials for production, industrial chemical, plastic, machines, etc.
