Prices of rice, vegetables soar, pork prices fall

(ĐN)- The prices of rice, vegetables and seafood in Bien Hoa city have increased slightly in recent days.

According traders in some big markets in the city, the prices of vegetables transported from Lam Dong province like cabbage, gourd, salad and others have increased by 3,000 VND –5,000 VND per kilo.

There was a slight increase in vegetable prices in Bien Hoa city

The rice prices have also jumped in recent days. According to rice merchants, high demand for rice exports in the global market has driven up the price of rice in the domestic market. The retail prices of rice in the city has risen by VND 500– VND 1,000 per kilo..

Seafood prices have also risen due to bad weather conditions and less supply to the city. Prices of some seafood items such as mackerel and squid have increased by VND 10,000–VND15,000 per kilo

Meanwhile, pork prices have declined, with thigh and bacon costing VND85,000- VND86,000. The pork prices has dropped due to an abundant supply, according to local traders.
