Dong Nai’s fertilizer imports increase by nearly 10,000 tons in Jan-Sept

(ĐN)- Dong Nai province imported close to 34,700 tons of fertilizers in the first nine months of the year, an increase of nearly 10,000 tons over the same period last year, according to the provincial Statistic Department.

The province imported almost 20,000 tons of fertilizers in August and September alone. The major fertilizers i.e. urea, DAP… were imported in the province during the period.
With global fertiliser prices surging and supply plunging in the country, prices have risen sharply in the domestic market.

Fertilizer prices have increased by nearly VND 2,000 per kilogramme compared with early August 2011. Particularly, urea fertiliser costs around VND13,000 per kilogramme, DAP fertiliser, over VND 16,000 per kilogramme and Kali fertiliser, over VND 14,000 per kilogramme.
