During their stay in Dong Nai, the delegation had a working session with the Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment on solid waste treatment in the province.
Dong Nai discharges some 2,246 tons of solid wastes each day, including 864 tons of non-hazardous industrial waste and some 1,382 tons of household waste, repported the Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment. In Bien Hoa city alone, 400-500 tons of household waste a day is produced in the city. Dong Nai province is calling for investments into projects on solid waste treatment and top priority is given to investment projects in Bien Hoa city where generates an overload of solid waste.
For his part, Mr. Durant said that SIA wants to seek investment opportunities in Dong Nai and his company is willing to provide both financial and technical assistance to Dong Nai for projects on solid waste treatment.
