(ĐN)- According to many owners of pig farms in Dong Nai province, the supplies of breeding pigs in the province currently scare. A pair of piglets weighing about 20kg costs between VND 2.5 million and VND2.6 million, up VND 300,000- VND 400,000 when compared to the beginning of August 2011.
At present, the price for live pigs reaches a high of VND52,000-54,000 per kilo. With this price, local pig raisers can get a profit of VND 500,000 – VND 600,000 per quintal of live pigs after the production cost is deducted.
