Dong Nai’s businesses seek cooperation with Benin

Representatives of 20 businesses in the southern province of Dong Nai on Sept. 29 had a meeting with a delegation from Benin’s Ministry of Industry and Trade to seek investment opportunities in the Western African country.

Representatives of 20 businesses in Dong Nai province on Sept. 29 had a meeting with a delegation from Benin’s Ministry of Industry and Trade to seek investment opportunities in the Western African country.

The businesses in Dong Nai and Benin ’s Ministry of Industry and Trade are both interested in cooperation possibilities in fields of footwear, medicine, agricultural machine, food processing, wooden furniture, textile and garment and aquatic products.

According to Sabi Boum Djoule, legal adviser of the Benin ’s Ministry of Industry, Benin is the gateway to markets in the Western African countries.

The Beninese government will create favourable conditions for Vietnam ’s businesses to invest and expand market in the country, he said.

Through the meeting, the two countries’ participants got an overview of the difficulties and advantages when investing in Benin and Vietnam .

The same day, the Benin delegation visited several models of production and business in some enterprises in Dong Nai province.

Thirty Vietnamese businesses are scheduled to go to Benin to study investment opportunities in the country in November.
