Dong Nai Farmers’ Association holds mid-term conference

(ĐN) – A mid-term conference of Dong Nai province’s Farmers Association took place in the province on Friday. Present at the event were Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers Association Le Hoang Minh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong and representatives from the farmers' associations at all levels in the province.

Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers Association Le Hoang Minh awards certificates of merit to collectives with outstanding achievements in emulation movements.
According to report by the province’s Farmers’ Association, the association has admitted nearly 30,000 new members from 2008 until now, taking the total number to over 214,000. It has made efforts in helping poor farmers to develop production and improve their living conditions as well as to promote the emulation movements in production. Accordingly, a large number of farmer households in the province have registered to participate in the emulation movements of good production and business and over 70,000 households won this title every year.

Addressing at the meeting, Vice Chairman Le Hoang Minh praised the efforts made by  the province’s Farmers’ Association over the past three years. He also stressed that the need for the Association to pay more attention to  improving living conditions of its members, providing credit loans to farmers to develop production, providing advanced farming technologies to help farmers increase productivity and improve product quality…

Also at the meeting, 11 collectives and 11 individuals received certificates of merit of the province’s Farmers’ Association for their active contributions to the development of the Association during the past three years.
