Xuan Tien club union achieves a yield exceeding 6 tonnes of rice per hectare

(ĐN)- Members of Xuan Tien high-productivity club union in Xuan Phu commune, Xuan Loc district, Dong Nai province have started a bumper summer-autumn harvest while rice prices are on rise on the local market. Thanks to cultivation of high yielding varieties and advanced farming practices, members of the club union obtained an average yield of over 6 tonnes per hectare from 115 hectares in the summer-autumn rice crop.

The paddy price in Dong Nai province stays at VND6,400 a kg. With this price, members of  Xuan Tien club union can get a profit of VND 22 –23 million every hectare of rice after the production cost is deducted.   Especially, some members of the club union achieved a yield of up to 7 tonnes per hectare and can  earn a profit of VND 28 –29 million per hectare.
