Paddy price goes up

(ĐN)- Paddy price has seen a slight increase in Dong Nai over the last week. The price increased by VND 300-400 to between VND6,300 and VND 6,800 per kilo of paddy.

(ĐN)- Paddy price has seen a slight increase in Dong Nai over the last week. The price increased by VND 300-400 to between VND6,300 and VND 6,800 per kilo of paddy. With this price, local farmers can get a profit of VND 15 million –18 million every hectare of rice cultivation after the production cost is deducted.

Nearly 25,000 hectares of rice have been planted for the summer-autumn crop 2011 in the province with an expected yield of over 4.6 tonnes per hectare on average. The largest cultivation areas in the province included the four districts of Xuan Loc, Dinh Quan, Tan Phu and Trang Bom.
