The Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is encouraging local farmers to cultivate new varities such as V87-13, V91-15, HL89E3… for the the summer-autumn crop in order to achieve high quality and yield. However, pursuant to the recommendation of agricultural engineers, cultivation of corn, rice and cassava for three or four consecutive seasons can degrade the soil resulting low yield. Therefore, agricultural engineers encourage the farmers to shift their focus from these crops to the cultivation of soybean and bean plants to improve the fertility of soil.
