(ĐN) – Moon cake producers have begun early sales for the mid-autumn festival season. Many kinds of moon cakes have been launched to the market for people to enjoy and to present as gifts for the moon festival.
Moon cake producers said that prices of their moon cakes this year would increase by 20% although the input costs have increased by between 40% and 50%.
The Bien Hoa Confectionery Joint Stock Company (Bibica) said that it will make more than 500 tons of moon cakes in Mid Autumn of this year. The HCMC-based Kinh Do Corporation will this year producer aound 2,000 tons of of moon cakes on this occasion, up about 100,000 tons from the same period last year.
