July’s trade deficit at over $100 mil

(ĐN)- According to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, Dong Nai’s exports in July are estimated at US$844 million while imports are US$953 million, up 3% and 4% respectively from June, leaving a trade deficit at US$109 million.

(ĐN)- According to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, Dong Nai’s exports in July are estimated at US$844 million while imports are US$953 million, up 3% and 4% respectively from June, leaving a trade deficit at US$109 million.

The figure raised the province’s trade deficit to US$872 million in the first seven months. Accordingly, export commodities earned US$5,391 billion in revenue while the import value surpassed US$6,263 billion.

Imported commodities with the highest import turnover included tobacco materials (US$5.8 mil), an increase of 33 percent year-on-year,  materials for production (US$35.2 mil), up 22 percent, raw cashew 15,000 tones, up 55 percent, industrial chemical (US$219,000), up 800 percent, etc.
