Dong Nai earns over $3 bil in exports in first 4 months

(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s export turnover in April is estimated to reach US$8 70 million, up 2.8% against the previous month, bringing the total export value in the first four months to over US$3 billion.

(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s export turnover in April is estimated to reach US$8 70 million, up 2.8% against the previous month, bringing the total export value in the first four months to over US$3 billion, fulfilling 37% of the yearly plan and increasing 41.6% year-on-year, according to the Department of Industry and Trade.

Garment, one of export commodities saw highest growth in first four months.

Particularly, exports from foreign-invested enterprises increased 42%; the local enterprises up nearly 37%, and the central enterprises up over 35%.

 

The export commodities of coffee, rubber, footwear, food, fabric, textile and garment, electronic components, and cashew nuts saw the highest growth.

 

In first four months, Dong Nai’s import value is estimated at more than US$3.5 billion, an increase of 29% compared to the same period of last year, making up 37% of the yearly target.

 

Of the import items, raw cashew nuts saw the sharpest rise of 68%, followed by industrial chemical with 47% increase, medicines up 16% and raw materials for production up 9%, etc.

 

The province’s trade gap in this period is estimated at US$0.5 billion.
