(ĐN)- Korea’s Hanshin E&C Corporation held a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the sixth bidding package of the HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay highway, part of North-South Expressway project on November 19.
The sixth bidding package covers construction work from Cam My district to Thong Nhat district in Dong Nai province. The project has a total length of 17.1 km and a width of 27.5m. There will be 9 bridges spanning this section.The construction of the project costing around VND 1.14 trillion will be completed within 32 months.
The highway is being built at a cost of US$932 million put up by the Vietnam Highway Investment and Development Company. It is expected to promote socio-economic development and create opportunities for localities in the South-East region to exploit their strength after it open to traffic in 2012.
