A considerable number of consumers have turned their backs on pork, including ‘clean products" that helped drive the sharp increase in pork demand. Consumers can safely eat well-cooked pork of clearly labelled and have quarantine stamps. Strong pork demand and short supply caused by blue ear pig disease have pushed up Dong Nai’s pork prices.
Currently. the live pork prices at major markets in Bien Hoa city stand at 55,000 – 60,000 VND per kilo, up 3.000 – 4,000 VND per kilo compared to last month. Further rises are forecast in the coming time, according to local traders.
