Bibica to produce 500 tons of moon cakes in Mid Autumn of this year

(ĐN) – Moon cake producers have begun early sales for the mid-autumn festival season. Many kinds of moon cakes have been launched to the market for people to enjoy and to present as gifts for the moon festival.

The Bien Hoa Confectionery Joint Stock Company (Bibica) said that it will make about 500 tons of moon cakes in Mid Autumn of this year, up 20 per cent from the same time last year. Bibica will diversify its product range with many more models and types. The company’s moon cakes are priced from VND23,000 to VND72,000 each cake, representing a 10 percent increase from the same period last year. Especially, some striking types are sold at between VND 300,000 and VND 800,000 per box.

Bibica said that its traditional cakes are made with less fat and glucose to meet the special dietary needs of diabetics and customer.
