(ĐN)- From the beginning of the year until now, Dong Nai province’s Agriculture Promotion Centre donated VND240 million to build 200 biogas plants across rural areas in Dong Nai, helping local people treat wastes, lessen pollution, and make use of the new energy source.
Launched in 2003 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Netherlands Development Organization (SNV), the biogas project has built more than 80,000 biogas plants in over 40 provinces and cities, including nearly 4,000 biogas plants in Dong Nai.
According to plan, additional 1,000 biogas plants will be built in Dong Nai by 2011.
