(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s farmers worried as unhusked rice prices have decreased sharply over the past 10 days. Local farmers are havesting their winter-spring crop, a major crop of the year. Rice prices in the world are decreasing sharply, which will lead to sharp rice price decreases in Vietnam. Unhusked rice prices in Dong Nai province have declined to VND3,900 –VND 4,000 per kilo at present, down by around VND 2,000 compared to the beginning of last month. With this price, farmers will suffer losses of VND 8 million – VND 10 million per hectare in their winter-spring crop.
The price of exported rice is currently at over US$300 per ton, down by US$100 –US$150 compared to the beginning of March .
