The figure brings the provinces total four-month retail sales up to more than 15.1 trillion, surged about 26.7 per cent against the same four months of last year and accounting for 26.4 per cent of the year’s target.

Trade industries contributed most to the surge with revenue of VND12.49 trillion, up 25.1 percent; services-industry followed with VND1.58 trillion, up 34.9 percent; hotels and restaurants was VND1.1 trillion, up 34.1 percent.
The non-state sector registered the highest retail sales growth among other economic sectors. It saw a revenue increase of 27.8 per cent year-on-year to VND13.11 trillion, fulfilling 25.9 percent of the year’s plan.
The foreign-owned sector followed with total retail sales rising by 22.9 percent to VND1.04 trillion, making up 36.2 percent of the target for 2010
The State-owned sector grew at 16.5 percent to VND970.2 billion, accounting for 25.3 percent of the plan.
