(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s farmers said that they are harvesting their winter-spring rice crop. The rice price presently stays between VND 4,500 and VND 4,600 a kilogram. With this price, local farmers can get a profit of VND 13 million –VND 14 million every hectare of rice cultivation after the production cost is deducted. More than 14,000 hectares were put under rice cultivation in the 2009-2010 winter-spring crop in Dong Nai with an expected yield of over 5.5 tonnes per hectare on average. The localities with the largest areas under rice cultivation are districts of Tan Phu, Dinh Quan, Nhon Trach, Long Thanh and Vinh Cuu.
