Dong Nai Customs to concentrate its efforts on training personnel

(ĐN)- Dong Nai Customs Bureau has just held a meeting to review its activities in 2006 and set tasks for 2007. At the meeting, General Director of the General Department of Customs of Vietnam Le Manh Hung and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot, on behalf of State, presented the third class Feat of Arms Medal to the local post-customs clearance inspection office under Dong Nai Customs Bureau and awarded Labour Medals, Third Class, to Director of Dong Nai Customs Bureau Le Van Danh and Deputy Director Nguyen Van Chien. Besides, Bien Hoa Customs Sub-Deparment was also honored to receive Certificate of Merit of Prime Minister. Dong Nai Customs Bureau’s leaders said that Dong Nai Customs will concentrate its efforts on training personnel to efficiently implement its mission goals in 2007.

 

Dong Nai Customs Bureau is a pioneer in administrative reform, informatics application and customs modernization. It saw a total import-export turnover of over VND7.9 billion in 2006, an increase of more than 26% compared with the previous year. The Bureau obtained total State budget collection of  approximately VND3,091.49 billion, 14% higher than that of 2005 and exceed the set plan by 1.36%. In 2007, Dong Nai Customs Bureau will strive to achieve the State budget collection of VND3,230 billion.
