Dong Nai to earn over US$ 4 billion from exports in 2006

(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s export turnover is estimated to reach over 4.275 billion USD this year, up year-on-year by nearly 34 per cent. Export earnings of foreign-invested enterprises hit over 3.92 billion USD, a 34.9 per cent increase on a year ago, and account for over 90 per cent of the province’s total export turnover. Especially, Fujitsu Vietnam posted exceeding 395 USD million in export revenues this year. Local enterprises are expected to generate 244.5 million USD in export revenue, up 25 per cent while the State-owned enterprises in the province contribute nearly 110 million USD, up 32.6 percent. Farm produce and the processing industry are dominant with the export value of coffee increasing 22.7 per cent; cashew nut, 45.3 per cent, garment,  12 per cent; and footwear, 42.6 per cent.
