Dai A bank rushing to raise chartered capital

(ĐN)- Dai A Commercial Joint Stock Bank plans to increase its charter capital from the current VND 170 billion to VND 500 billion by late this year and VND 1000 billion in 2007. This is the strategic plan of Dai A Bank to upgrade itself from a rural commercial bank to a urban commercial bank in the coming time.

(ĐN)- Dai A Commercial Joint Stock Bank plans to increase its charter capital from the current VND 170 billion to VND 500 billion by late this year and VND 1000 billion in 2007. This is the strategic plan of Dai A Bank to  upgrade itself from a rural commercial bank to a urban commercial bank in the coming time. The bank will boost its capital at the end of this year by ways of issuing new shares worth VND 216 billion and transferring from funds held in reserve.

Over the past 13 years, the Bank has achieved progressive growth  and profitability. The bank has projected a dividend of 15 per cent for the 2006 financial year and the rate of overdue debt is very low. The bank has now 243 shareholders, out of which 237 shareholders are natural persons, contributing over VND 101 billion in charter capital and remaining 6 shareholders are legal entities with more than VND 68.5 billion in charter capital including Dong Nai provincial Bank for Investment and Development, Tin Nghia Company, the A Chau Bank, Dong Nai 2 Development (D2D),  Wec Sai Gon Shoe Company, the Securities Trading Company under the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam.
