(ĐN) – Recently, the Cable and Telecommunications Material Company (SACOM) whose headquarter is located in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Zone, Dong Nai province has been honored to be recognized for achievements in the period 2001-2005 by the awarding of the third-class Labor Medal from the state president. Over the past five years, SACOM has expanded production capacity and diversified its product offerings in order to meet the demands of the market. In 2005, Sacom manufactured 1.08 million km of dual cables, 300 per cent higher than 2001s figure. The company reported its revenues for fiscal year 2005 reached over VND 836 billion, up 395.24 per cent respectively on 2001s figure. The company also recorded great increases from 2001’s figures in its profit (up 196 per cent) and in its contribution to state budget (up 526 per cent). Its workers monthly income raised up VND 5 million per person in 2005 from roughly 3 million in 2001.
Over the past five years, the company has invested hundreds of billion dongs in expanding production to meet booming demand. From only one factory based in the Bien Hoa Industrial Zone I in southern Dong Nai province, Sacom now has three more factories producing quality telecom materials and plans to build a plant to manufacture electric cables in Long Thanh district in Dong Nai province. Besides, the company has entered a joint venture or alliance with other companies.
